We should understand that the baptism of John is from God and not from man. John said that I indeed baptize you with water for the repentance. People were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

Three things happen in water baptism.

  • 1.Repentance of sins.
  • 2.Confession of sins.
  • 3.Forgiveness of sins.
  • The Bible says, for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23,24

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:8,9

We are all sinned. But we have forgiveness and redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ, according to His riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Jesus said, Marvel not that I said unto thee, you must be born again. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God-John 3:5

John said, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. - Matthew 3:11

We should know that many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. -Roman 6:8

The Bible says, For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.1 Thessalonians 4; 16

You may happy to know if you are part in the first resurrection, the second death (Hell) has no power over you. You shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him 1000 years (in God's kindom) - Revelation 20:6.

If not, you live not again until the thousand years were finished and then you will stand for judgment-. Revelation 20:5

We are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bible says that you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:26,27

You should receive Jesus for your salvation. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. - Acts 4:12

    What is baptism?

Read 1 Peter 3:21.It says that the like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It is neither an outside sign nor a religious ceremony as people say and practice in most of the traditional churches.

You are bought at a high price by the blood of Jesus Christ; do not become slaves of men.

1.Baptism is to fulfill all righteousness - Matthew 3:15

2.Baptism is the counsel of God- Luke 7: 30

3.It is the command of the Lord - Matthew 28:19

Jesus said, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned ( condemned for the eternal death) -Mark 16:16

Peter said, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost-Acts 2:38

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call- Acts 2:39

Jesus said, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

You are a chosen one. Obey to the word of God and get saved. Salvation is today. Jesus is coming soon.God bless you.
